She said an instance of seizing was accounted for at the police headquarters on Dec. 21, 2022, at 9.00pm, by Mrs Chukwu-Ezedima, the mother of the abducted young lady.

The PPRO said the complainant asserted that the suspect seized her little girl, Nwasi Chukwu-Ezedima from her Toyota Corolla Vehicle at Lafe Region, Akure, while she was getting food for the family.

Odunlami-Omisanya said the suspect, who supposedly requested N50 million from the family as payoff, was captured on Dec. 31, 2022 at a POS stand while attempting to pull out piece of the cash.

During cross examination, the suspect admitted to the commission of the offense while the casualty was saved safe.

The suspect will before long be summoned in court,” the police representative said.

In the mean time, the Nigerian Armed force has given over a man captured in unlawful ownership of guns to the police.

Odunlami-Omisanya said a watch of the Nigerian Armed force while on standard check at Elegbeka in Ifon, Ose Neighborhood Government Region got data about the man (names kept) supposedly possessing a gun.

She said that the watch group thusly explored the claim and captured the man with the privately made weapon.

The suspect at first guaranteed he tracked down the firearm in a farmland, however later admitted that the weapon was given to him by a welder (names kept) as of now in a Remedial Center in Okene.

The suspect has been given over to the Police and would before long have his day in court,” Odunlami-Omisanya said.
